“I am really disappointed to hear that Australia have pulled out of the series to play us in March. If playing Afghanistan is so uncomfortable for Australia, then I wouldn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable with my presence in the BBL. Therefore, I will be strongly considering my future in that competition,” he added.

According to the reports in the Australian Associated Press, the leg-spinner has made himself available for this edition of Big Bash League. Rashid Khan is one of the few bowlers who is dominating batsmen, in an era of bat-dominating balls. The terrific leg-spinner has come over the top against high-quality batsmen with his consistent bowling in the shorter format of the game.

The All-rounder form will be crucial for Afghanistan’s success in Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup 2023.

Afghanistan will be a team to watch out for the upcoming marquee events in 2023, as they have more experience playing in Subcontinental conditions over the years. Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Noor Ahmad, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz have experience playing in franchise leagues and they will look to bring their top game against formidable opponents in the mega events later this year.
