Speaking to the media after the game, Shaheen Afridi feels that their team deserves to win the game against Warwickshire and said that crowd in England was supporting him throughout his tournament as he felt like playing in Pakistan.
“We deserved to win but they played well in the last few overs after the rain. It was the first time I took four wickets in my first over. It was good but if we would have won the game that would have been nice. Unfortunately, we lost,”

“It felt really nice the way the crowd was supporting me. When I was running in it felt like I am playing in Pakistan. I have spent a good time with my teammates, it is like a family,” Shaheen Shah Afridi said after the match.
Shaheen Shah Afridi has been at the top in the T20 blast as he has scalped 20 wickets in 13 games at an economy rate of 8.65. Despite Shaheen’s heroics in the game, Nottinghamshire lost the game by 2 wickets as Robert Yates played a match-winning T20 knock to help Warwickshire win the game
The Pakistani pacer spearhead will now look to continue his sublime form in the upcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka. Shaheen has found good form recently and would like to make the most of it by helping Pakistan in the longer format of the game against Sri Lanka. The left speedster’s form and fitness will be crucial for the Men in Green going into the Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup later this year in India.
