IPL 2023: They Know To Make A Comeback… – Wasim Akram Predicts The Winner Of The Grand IPL Final

CSK vs GT Final

Former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram revealed his verdict on who will win this edition of the Indian Premier League ahead of the grand final. Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the high-octane clash of this year’s IPL on the reserve day (Monday) at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Gujarat Titans have been the team in form in this edition of the cash-rich league making it into the second consecutive final in the cash-rich league, in the 2023 season, they have ten games out of the 14 games in the league stage and went on the beat the Mumbai Indians by a comprehensive margin in the Qualifier 2 and are on the verge of winning back-to-back titles in IPL 2023.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings made a stunning comeback to the cash-rich league under the captaincy of legendary MS Dhoni after having a disastrous IPL in 2022, as the team performed exceedingly well above expectations to make it into the record 10th final in the Indian Premier League.

With the exciting final on the cards, Cricket experts have shared their opinions on the team that have got the better chance of winning the championship in 2023, Speaking on Sportskeeda, Former Pakistan Cricketer Wasim Akram said that he was expecting both teams to make it into the playoffs and feels that the defending champions are too reliant on Shubman Gill and reckons that Chennai Super Kings are capable of making comeback, so he feels that they will have upper hand in the final against Hardik Pandya-led side.

“I was expecting that Chennai and Gujarat will finish in the Top 4. Gujarat is reliant on Shubman Gill and their captain Hardik Pandya. CSK have qualified for finals 10 times.”

“They know to make a comeback even if they lose early wickets. They know how to remain calm. Others will have their opinions, but for me, CSK is 60%, GT 40%,” Wasim Akram.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will look to win their 5th title in the league history to become the successful side alongside Mumbai Indians, as many expect that this would be the final match of the Indian legend MS Dhoni in CSK colours as a player, everyone excepts him to finish his career on high with IPL trophy.
