Chennai Super Kings must have delighted their fans by posting a heartwarming reunion video of their skipper MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The last season of the IPL had ended on a disastrous note for CSK where Ravindra Jadeja found himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Just before the start of the tournament, Dhoni had stepped down as captain with Jadeja named as his replacement.
Things, however, did not unfold as expected. The captaincy burden was just too much for the allrounder as he struggled with both bat and ball. In 10 games, he managed to score a modest 116 runs and picked up just 5 wickets. Things went from bad to worse when he stepped down as captain midway through the tournament and Dhoni had to don the captain’s hat once again.
It was followed by an injury setback to the allrounder as he decided to pull out of IPL 2022. Following those unexpected turn of events, rumours of a possible rift between Jadeja and Dhoni started doing the rounds. There were several reports suggesting that the India star might leave CSK ahead of IPL 2023.

The recent video posted by Chennai Super Kings on their social media handles have pretty much rubbished the rift rumours. In the video, Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja were seen sharing laughter during a training session at the CSK camp.

Meanwhile, IPL 2023 is scheduled to begin on March 31. Chennai Super Kings will be in action on the very first day when they take on defending champions Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Chennai-based outfit will be desperate to start their season well after a disappointing campaign last year.
